Shredded in 60 cardio tip. Hey, two tips in one day! Well, if you’re as eager as I am to get started on this 8 week experiment, you’re going to need to know what kind of cardio to do and when to do it.
I prefer steady state cardio over HIIT. My weight training is high enough intensity for me and doing bouts of HIIT tends to overtrain my CNS (central nervous system) very quickly.
I like the treadmill at an incline of 2.0 and a speed of 3.0 to start (the speed may increase over time as I become more conditioned but the incline never will). Swinging the arms (not holding on to the machine) is very important. Because I’ve put a cap on 60 days for this transformation, I’m bumping cardio to 2 sessions of 30 minutes – up from 3 weekly sessions of 30 minutes.
Aerobic exercise reduces protein synthesis. For this reason I like to separate cardio from weight training. One session fasted in the AM (after a drink of AMMO-8 and Athletes Superfood) and the other in the PM before bed.
